National Night Out

As many of you are aware, today is National Night Out 2009. Below is a statement provided by the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center. Members of my staff will be attending National Night Out events throughout District 4 this evening.

Today is National Nite Out – Against Crime !

Join us for the 26^th Annual National Night Out on August 4^th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at The Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center, 3300 Briggs Chaney Road, Silver Spring, MD.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of and support for crime and drug prevention programs while sending a message that neighborhoods are fighting back.

The program will feature finger printing, photo ID for children, bicycle registration, face painting, gang and violence prevention, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, crafts, music and lots of fun activities for families to enjoy.
